1898-O Morgan Dollar ($1)

A true Superb Gem with CAC approval for its insanely original surfaces, this example shows rich, satiny cartwheel luster under a wholly original antique-silver skin with warm champagne and russet at the rims. The strike is notably sharp for the mint, with crisp hair curls and an above average eagle breast. Surfaces are wonderfully clean for the grade - just the faintest scattered ticks in the fields - and the fields and devices display that velvety frost collectors love. PCGS clearly got this one right, and the eye appeal is all there in hand.
