1900-O/CC Morgan Dollar ($1)
PCGS MS64
The 1900-O/CC represents one of the most popular and widely collected varieties in the entire Morgan Dollar series. This overmintmark occurred when the New Orleans Mint reused dies that had previously been sent to Carson City, creating a clear "CC" mintmark visible beneath the "O". The variety was first discovered in the 1960s and has since become a must-have for serious Morgan collectors, as it provides tangible evidence of the mint's die recycling practices during this era.
This PCGS MS64 example displays excellent luster with clean, satiny surfaces that showcase strong cartwheel. The strike is sharp throughout with minimal contact marks for the grade, and the overall eye appeal is quite strong. A solid example of this important and historically significant variety.
