Honest, even wear and warm original color make this key-date 1909-S an easy coin to like. The surfaces show a pleasing blend of medium tan and deeper walnut brown, with the mintmark plainly visible below the ribbon and plenty of detail remaining in the headdress feathers and wreath. LIBERTY still shows on the headband, and the fields are smooth and undisturbed with nothing distracting. A wholesome, mid-grade example of the series key, housed in a PCGS Gold Shield holder.
