1917-D Type 2 Standing Liberty Quarter (25c)

Wonderfully original patina blankets both sides of this 1917-D Type 2, deepening to warm russet and olive at the peripheries for a crusty, undisturbed look. Satiny luster glows beneath the patina, and the strike is solid for a Denver issue with pleasing definition in Liberty's gown and the eagle's wing feathers. The fields are notably smooth, with only a few trivial ticks capping the grade.
