1917 Type 1 Standing Liberty Quarter (25c)

Satiny and original with a pale champagne-silver skin that shows lively cartwheel on both sides. The strike is all there - a bold Full Head with crisp shield detail and strong wing feathers - yielding above average eye appeal. Surfaces are pleasingly fresh for the issue, with only some scattered contact in the open fields setting the grade. We submitted this one expecting it to come back a point finer. Housed in a PCGS gold shield holder, this example has the look we all hunt for in a Type 1 SLQ.
