1921-D Walking Liberty Half Dollar (50c)

CACG VF30 CAC

The key date of the Walking Liberty series - the 1921-D - saw production of only 208,000 pieces. As the economic conditions during the early 1920s did not demand high quantities of half dollars, these coins were just not produced in large numbers. Finding any 1921-D in decent condition is a challenge, making this a must-have for any serious Walking Liberty collector.

This CAC-approved VF30 displays excellent eye appeal for the grade. The surfaces show even, natural wear with no troublesome marks or damage. Liberty's gown retains nice detail, and the eagle on the reverse shows solid definition in the feathers and breast. The coin has a pleasant light gray color with hints of original luster still visible in the protected areas. A very respectable example of this famous rarity that punches well above its technical grade.
