1922 No D Lincoln Cent (1c)

PCGS G4 BN CAC

The 1922 No D Lincoln cent is one of the most famous rarities in 20th-century American numismatics. This error occurred when a worn die at the Denver mint struck coins without the mintmark showing. Of the few examples known, the "Strong Reverse" variety is particularly desirable, as it shows strong details on the reverse while the obverse die was severely worn - exactly the characteristics visible on this specimen.

This CAC-approved G04 example displays honest, even wear with a pleasing medium-brown patina that has developed over its century of existence. Despite its well-circulated state, the reverse lettering remains bold and clear, confirming its "Strong Reverse" designation. The surfaces show normal circulation marks but remain free of significant damage or problems that would detract from its status as a legitimate example of this famous mint error.
