1923 Buffalo Nickel (5c)

In an old embossed NGC “fatty” holder with a gold CAC sticker, this gem shows intense, flashy luster under a pleasing veil of blueish champagne-gold toning. Surfaces are wonderfully original and clean for the grade, with no noteworthy flaws. Strike is solid with a nicely textured obv device and well detailed buffalo. This examples smokes most 1923 nickels even in MS66, so it's no wonder why it earned the gold sticker!
