1923-S Peace Dollar ($1)

Rich cartwheel luster rolls across satiny surfaces, framed by soft champagne and pale gold at the peripheries. The obverse shows a notably clean cheek for the grade, while the reverse carries attractive streaks of golden russet that boost the eye appeal. Strike is a touch soft at the centers, as seen on many S mint pieces, yet the fields remain bright and lively. Housed in an older NGC holder, this example delivers strong MS64 presence with only some scattered contact in the fields keeping it from the next step.
