1924 Huguenot Commem Half Dollar (50c)

Now here is a special coin. Deep antique-gold and russet toning dominate this MS68 blazer Huguenot, with silver centers, olive highlights, and flashes of violet-blue tucked into the peripheral lettering. The surfaces are superbly preserved, showing smooth satiny luster and the clean, undisturbed look expected at this level. Portrait detail and the reverse ship are sharply rendered. PCGS needs that bit of "wow" to get to a 68, and this coin delivers. Population 6 in 68 with only a sole coin finer at 68+, we're in lofty territory with this one.
