1924-S Buffalo Nickel (5c)

Honest, even wear and a completely original look make this 1924-S a standout coin. The surfaces show a natural nickel-gray patina with soft olive undertones in the recesses, and the date is full and bold - not always the case on this notoriously tough San Francisco issue. Detail is strong for the grade, with good separation in the braid and plenty of definition across the bison's shoulder and hindquarters. Nothing distracting anywhere, just a wholesome, unmolested circulated coin, CAC-approved in a PCGS holder.
