Fresh, original skin with a soft champagne-silver patina and plenty of satiny luster for the grade gives this 1929-D outstanding eye appeal. The strike is better than typical for the date, with crisp detail in the central devices, and the fields remain notably clean for an AU piece. Just the lightest whisper of high-point friction holds it shy of mint state - exactly what CAC liked when they blessed the PCGS holder with a green sticker. A borderline upgrade look that really pops in hand.
