1933-S Walking Liberty Half (50c)

The 1933-S Walking Liberty half dollar is a remarkable coin for collectors because it holds the distinction of being the only silver coin produced by the United States Mint in 1933. In 1933, the U.S. Mint halted the production of most silver coinage due to the severe economic downturn and reduced demand for new coins. However, the Walking Liberty Half Dollar continued to be minted in limited quantities to fulfill the ongoing need for half dollars in circulation, particularly in the western United States where the San Francisco Mint was located.
This particular coin is awesome in its MS64 CAC holder - a super original, never-messed-with, striking example of a bold, lustrous, beautiful coin with a fascinating background.
