1935 Connecticut Commemorative Half Dollar (50c)

The 1935 Connecticut half dollar commemorated the 300th anniversary of the founding of the Connecticut colony, with a modest mintage of just 25,018 pieces. Issued during the height of the 1930s commemorative boom, these coins were sold to raise funds for the tercentenary celebration. Unlike many other commemoratives from this era that had inflated mintages, the Connecticut half remained reasonably scarce and has maintained strong collector interest.
