1936-D 3 1/2 Legs Buffalo Nickel (5c)
PCGS F15 CAC
The 1936-D 3 1/2 Legs Buffalo Nickel is a sought-after variety in the Buffalo Nickel series. The error, a result of over-polishing of the die, features a buffalo with only...three and a half legs. This is a slightly less-well-known example of a polishing error and while not quite as popular as the infamous 1937-D "3 Legs" Buffalo, this is a significantly rarer and tougher variety.
This example, graded F15 by PCGS and adorned with a CAC sticker, displays honest wear consistent with the grade but retains key details like the date and core design elements. The surfaces have an appealing, even patina, giving the coin a wholesome and authentic look that's sure to please.
