1938-D Buffalo Nickel (5c) Rattler

Silky, satiny luster rolls across warm champagne-silver surfaces, with a touch of pale gold at the peripheries and plenty of pop for the grade. Sharply detailed with a bold reverse, this coin sits high in the band - the CAC sticker says as much (we thought it was a lock Gold bean, but no such luck.) Housed in a classic PCGS rattler, the look is wonderfully original and fresh, with just a few scattered ticks in the fields keeping it out of a gem holder. Strong eye appeal in an old-school slab that we all love.
