1939-D Walking Liberty Half Dollar (50c)

Bright, satiny luster rolls across both sides, framed by attractive champagne-silver surfaces with light golden-russet accents at the rims. The strike is better than typical for the date, with crisp feather detail and excellent definition throughout. Cartwheel flash is strongest on the reverse, giving this example notably strong eye appeal for the grade. A touch of scattered contact in the right obverse field likely sets the ceiling, but CACG clearly liked the look - housed in their holder and it absolutely earns the 64.
