1961-D Franklin Half Dollar (50c)

Housed in a vintage NGC fatty holder, this 1961-D shows a wonderfully original skin - satiny silver centers with speckled russet and amber patina at the peripheries that speaks to decades of undisturbed storage. Cartwheel luster rolls beneath the patina on both sides. A bit of light chatter across Franklin's portrait caps the grade. A green CAC sticker rounds out an honest, high-end 64.
