1985 Double Denom Error - Lincoln Cent (1c) Struck on Roosevelt Dime (10c)
NGC MS64
Dramatic double-denomination overstrike with bold dime undertype wrapping the peripheries - UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DIME leap out around both sides while Roosevelt’s profile ghosts through the Lincoln Memorial. Satiny, bright silver-gray surfaces show lively cartwheel and crisp cent details, especially on the reverse where the Memorial is sharply defined atop the dime’s rims. The piece sits in an NGC holder with the full Mint Error attribution for overstruck on 1985‑P dime. A few tiny carbon specks and a small amber spot at the reverse rim are noted, but the eye appeal for an MS-level error is terrific.
