1862 $1 Legal Tender (Fr. 16c)

Well inked and nicely framed, this note offers wonderful eye appeal with bold black detail, vivid red serials and seal, and a bright, saturated green reverse. Paper surfaces present as original and fresh. Margins are balanced for the type and the design sits squarely on the sheet. The faintest touch of border toning accounts for the assigned level, but the overall look is crisp and attractive in the PCGS holder.
