1869 $1 Rainbow Legal Tender (Fr. 18)

A high eye-appeal Rainbow with booming color and fresh, original paper. Inks are deeply impressed - the red seal and matching star serials blaze against the slate and green tints - while the back shows a saturated, even green with no distractions. Margins are well balanced and corners remain sharp for the grade. An imperceptible bit of handling (we're not even sure where) keeps this note out of Unc, but the surfaces are clean and the note presents far better than most AUs in this type.
