1896 $1 Educational Silver Certificate (Fr. 224)

Choice AU with excellent eye appeal for the type - crisp paper, bright surfaces, and strong, deeply inked impressions. The front shows bold black detail with a saturated red seal and vivid blue serials, framed by well balanced margins. The reverse is equally impressive with rich, even green and clean open fields. The faintest of handling marks limit the grade, but the overall presentation is sharp and highly attractive in the PMG holder.
