1896 $1 Educational Silver Certificate (Fr. 225)

A lovely 58 $1 Ed with a well deserved EPQ notation and excellent eye appeal. Paper is bright, fresh, and fully original with evident embossing and crisp surfaces. The inks are deeply printed - jet black detail, a vivid red seal, and bold blue serials - producing strong contrast on both sides. Centering is impressively balanced with ample margins and sharp corners that retain a just-printed look. The reverse green is rich and uniform.
