1896 $5 Educational Silver Certificate (Fr. 269)

Fresh, original paper with a well deserved PPQ designation and notably crisp embossing. The inks are dark and vividly impressed, with punchy blue serials and a bright red seal that stand out against the clean fields. Margins are balanced and frame the design handsomely, delivering strong overall eye appeal. The reverse shows deep, even green with excellent saturation and no distractions. A couple of light bends account for the AU grade, but the note retains excellent snap and originality in the PCGS holder.
