1899 $1 Black Eagle Silver Certificate (Fr. 233*)

A Choice Unc replacement star with bright, original paper and a well-deserved EPQ notation. Inks are bold - deep black detail with a vivid blue overprint - yielding strong eye appeal. Centering is pleasing - just a hair tight on the bottom margin. Paper surfaces are clean and fresh with evident embossing and no distracting bends or annotations. The reverse shows an even, vibrant green with only the faintest traces of light handling. A crisp, high-end example housed in a clean PMG holder.
