1914 $100 FRN (Fr. 1128)
PMG 25
The blue Treasury seal and serial numbers on this San Francisco hundred still pop with rich, saturated color, and the paper stays bright with more body than a typical 25 usually offers. This Fr. 1128 Burke-McAdoo example shows the expected folds and light handling for Very Fine, yet Franklin's portrait keeps sharp detail and the black engraving holds strong contrast. Margins are ample all around and frame the design nicely. Flip it over and the green reverse is clean and vibrant, with the central vignette crisp from end to end. PMG called this one right - plenty of eye appeal on a big-denomination West Coast note.
