1922 $10 Gold Certificate (Fr. 1173)

The golden reverse steals the show here - a saturated, fiery orange that looks barely touched by time. On the face, the gold serial numbers and Treasury seal pop against bright paper, and the Hillegas portrait retains sharp, deep black detail. This Fr. 1173 Large S/N example shows only the light handling expected of a 58, with ample, reasonably balanced margins all around. The paper stays crisp and clean, and the eye appeal is strong from edge to edge. A handsome Speelman-White ten, and PMG called it fairly.
