1922 $20 Gold Certificate (Fr. 1187)

Choice, original paper with a well-deserved EPQ - crisp surfaces, bright and untoned. Inks are punchy throughout, with vivid orange overprint and a deep, even black that delivers strong contrast. Embossing pops on the reverse, confirming originality. Centering is nicely balanced for the type, just a whisper off to the right, which explains the 64. The back orange is rich and uniform with excellent eye appeal and no noteworthy distractions. A high-end example that presents beautifully in the holder.
