1928 $500 Gold Certificate (Fr. 2407)

A remarkably "affordable" example of an incredibly tough note that is hard to find for under $15,000 in any grade. Fresh-looking for a VF, this example shows even circulation with a few center folds, scattered handling and light soiling while retaining strong ink contrast. The gold overprint remains vivid and the black engraving is still bold, with balanced margins that frame the design well. The reverse presents a deep, serviceable green despite wear. PMG cites paper pull and pinholes - a minor surface lift and a few tiny holes that do not distract in hand. Paper integrity is sound and the eye appeal is solid for the grade.
