The face carries the day here, with strong black printing, a clear No. 10651, and bold manuscript signatures anchoring this April 10, 1774 Maryland Four Dollars. The paper shows just the mildest folds, light handling, and some age toning, but it retains solid body. The reverse impression is a bit mottled, as often seen, yet the central device and Annapolis imprint still present well. A wholesome lightly-circulated colonial with plenty of eye appeal and no need to squint at the important bits.
