July 2, 1780 $3-$4 Rhode Island Colonial Uncut Sheet (Fr. RI-284-285)

An rare intact uncut pair of nearly-250-year-old Rhode Island Colonials with both notes carrying the hand-inked serial 349 and matching pen signatures. The paper is fresh and evenly toned, with no folds or handling in sight and a well-earned EPQ designation. Black printing is bold across both faces, and the ornate side borders remain sharp and complete. The reverse holds up just as well: the red overprints on both vignettes are vivid against the dense black fields. A choice 64 with serious eye appeal and real presence in the holder.
