Well margined and nicely printed, this Connecticut 5s shows pleasing paper with even toning and strong ink contrast front and back. The red serial and signatures pop, with the back endorsement especially bold. Ornamentation is sharp for the type, suggesting careful storage and minimal soiling. A straight vertical cancel cut at center is present but non distracting. Overall, a wholesome colonial with above average eye appeal and crisp details.
